1. Scripture (only 14 verses)

2a. Question to ponder: what can we discern about God by looking at & spending time in nature?

Possible answers: the creator, orders, details (modern science has added some amazing details to our growing knowledge), awesomeness, beauty, vastness of God Vs. smallness of ourselves, etc.

2b. What does the Genesis 1:1 reveal? (Proper answer according to Dr. Betts): there is none like Elohim God. God wants us to know Him as He has revealed Himself to us in nature.

3. The Skinny on Pslam 19:

1) v. 1: His glory and majestic handi work declared

2) v. 4: He is bigger than Sun, the largest object in our solar system

3) v. 7: don't forget that when anti-God people attack God/Christianity, they more than likely attack & undermine God's Word, which is perfect

4) v. 9: His instruction is perfect. Fear of the Lord is tied in with the Word of God, who exercises the Righteous judgement on all

5) v. 10: "sweeter than honey and the drippings of the honeycomb."

6) vv. 12-14: David so concerned with (committing) errors; even so about sins he might be unaware of. To live rightly before God--that is the goal. God is the Rock and Foundation of David's life. Redeemer, Provider, Savior, Friend, Protector and Counselor. In essence, verse 14 summarizes the whole chapter.

4.  Relevant verses to look at:

1) Genesis 1:1 NASB

2) Psalms 8:1 KJV

3) Romans 1:18-23 ESV

4) Romans 12:1 ESV
