Christine Hayes (1960-) is the Sterling Professor Emeritus of Religious Studies at Yale University. "She is widely known for her popular series of lectures on the YouTube channel Yale Courses (part of the Open Yale Courses initiative). Her course, "Introduction to the Old Testament (Hebrew Bible)," was recorded in 2006 and has amassed millions of views over the years." Specifically, the course she is teaching in video is RLST 145: Introduction to the Old Testament (Hebrew Bible).


The male Yale professor is Dale B. Martin (1954-2023), who was the Woolsey Professor Emeritus of Religious Studies at Yale University and delivered the lecture titled "Judaism in the First Century" as part of his course, RLST 152: Introduction to the New Testament History and Literature. He recently passed away in 2023 due to liver cancer per a report.
