According to adclinical.org publication, these are the top 10 pre-med programs in the country (2025):

  1. BU

  2. Columbia

  3. Duke

  4. Georgetown

  5. Harvard

  6. John Hopkins

  7. Stanford

  8. Chicago

  9. North Carolina

  10. UPenn

I am not surprised at all by the #1 ranking given to BU: while I was at BU 30+ years ago some of us cross-registered at Harvard for summer session classes, and the feedback after summer school were that courses at BU were tougher and the good grade was harder to come by at BU than at Harvard. BU has gotten better in the past 30 years than when I was there. Needless to say the faculty at BU's pre-med program is a top-notch with many of them having earned a terminal degree at Ivy or Ivy-esque institution plus prolific research and publication activities to boot. BU pre-med program such as biology or biomedical engineering major has long been known for its tough curriculum, grade deflation, and cut-throat/intense internal competition among the peers--then and now, the same. The primary goal of pre-med program should be to get its students admitted into medical school, which BU is doing at a high clip (over 80%) far above the national average of around 41-45%.

Hey, I am a bit biased and there is nothing wrong with that...lol

IMO MIT should have been included on the top 10 list. Of course, twenty other outstanding pre-med programs could easily have made the top 10 list above as well.
